Red shields. Red kettles. It has to be a post about the Salvation Army

December 3, 2010

I’ve done a lot of stories about the homeless and runaways over the years. I even went as far as spending the night at  the St. Vincent de Paul shelter in San Diego. So I was stopped in my tracks when I saw this billboard. It’s a reminder to put something in Salvation Army’s kettles.

If you have ever wondered about the story behind the kettles, wonder no more.
