Bling Without the Kaching: My Seitan Experiment

I just had my first go at making seitan, a chewy meat substitute made from gluten flour.

My mom used to sweat over kneading the vegan delight when I was a child.

These days, there is no need to knead.

My seitan was chewy and good, although I think it would be better if it was more dense.

It was tough to cut it.

It may look like bread, but it tastes more like a faux sausage.

Must experiment.
